We didn't get here by accident.

Our love of coconuts had an unlikely beginning when Bidari Putri, our Founder and Chief Explorer, lived in Belfast for a year and came to a realization: coconut products like water, milk, and VCO were not only hard to find—they were expensive. In Indonesia, coconuts are everywhere. Even on the street, you’ll find stalls selling fresh coconut fruit, water, and shell. The contrast was striking.

A Turning Point with a Purpose

When COVID-19 disrupted industries across the globe, one truth became clear: health and agriculture were not only resilient—they were essential. That moment sparked a deeper reflection. Bidari saw agriculture not just as a survivor, but as a future-proof sector with untapped potential. Indonesia, one of the world’s largest coconut producers, held a treasure trove of opportunity. Then, during a lunch with the Indonesian SMEs in the UK community (ISME UK), a question was casually thrown across the table: Could coconut products from Indonesia be distributed globally? What began as a challenge quickly became a calling. It was the silver lining in a time of uncertainty—a chance to build something meaningful, rooted in sustainability, health, and community.

As Bidari collaborated with ISME UK and engaged in discussions with both Indonesian and UK governments, she became increasingly hands-on—immersing herself in the business process. She noticed the rising global demand for healthy, plant-based foods and saw coconut as a superfood with zero waste potential. From its trunks to its husk, meat, shell, and water—every part of the coconut can be transformed into something valuable.
And so, “COCOVERS” was born. A brand rooted in sustainability, health, and community. Cocovers maintains strong ties with local farmers and producers, ensuring that every product carries the story of its origin.

As things scaled internationally, Cocovers remained committed to empowering coconut farming communities—encouraging them to see beyond the local market and embrace the global stage. The mission is clear: to unlock the full potential of coconut, not just as a commodity, but as a culture.
